Sarah moved to Iowa in 2019 upon starting her Doctor of Audiology program at the University of Iowa, after graduating from Miami University in Ohio. She promptly started looking for a barn and got involved at Miracles in the fall of 2019. She has volunteered on the Horse and Programming Committees, been a side walker, horse lead, afternoon chore helper, and is now a PATH Certified Therapeutic Horseback Riding Instructor, thanks to the support from Miracles! Prior to teaching at Miracles, she was a member of the Miami University Intercollegiate Dressage Team and grew up loving to visit her grandparents' dairy farm in New Jersey. Outside of the barn, Sarah is becoming an audiologist and conducts research about tinnitus and genetic contributions to hearing loss. In her free time, she sings, writes, paints, and dreams up riding lesson plans while on runs around Iowa City.
