Connect with Horses
fostering well-being by connecting with horses
Since 2022, Miracles in Motion has offered several programs to improve the quality of life for those who would benefit from the time spent with a horse, but are unable or uninterested in riding. These programs are facilitated by Miracles' ESMHLs (Equine Specialists in Mental Health and Learning.)
Under the umbrella of Connect with Horses, sessions have included those with chronic conditions (i.e., dementia, illness, autism spectrum disorder) and those experiencing stress or anxiety. Sessions are conducted in small group settings and may include family members or care givers.
In addition, Miracles has partnered with mental health therapists from ChildServe and the Veterans Administration as well as therapists in private practice to bring their clients to Miracles to engage with our horses. Sessions are coordinated through these health care provider offices and billing is done through the therapy entities.
Therapists, coordinators, individuals, families, and those who work in high stress situations are encouraged to reach out to Miracles if they know someone who might benefit from the program.
